Self-Simple Evaluation of Life & Future

It's been a long time sustahs! So much has happened in the last couple of months. The election is finally over with historical results. Number 44 is Barack Obama! It was quite an emotional moment. The end result could not have happened without the efforts of men and women of every ethnic and racial group. Barack Obama can be called the people's president. Now he has a hard job ahead of him, especially repairing the broken economy. He and his team will need much prayer and support.

In these hard economic times, let's all band to together to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves. So many people are losing homes and jobs that the holiday season will not be as joyous an occasion as usual. Despite the money shortage, there are still many things to be thankful for. If your health is good and you are surrounded by good friends and family, you are in good shape.

If you are shopping for the holidays, remember to support small businesses. Many entrepreneurs create new jobs in our communities. We have to support innovativeness among ourselves. We may not have as much to spend as previous seasons, but let's try to jump start the economy in our on backyards.

In early November, I had the opportunity to attend the Sistah Summit in Savannah, Georgia and Dafuskie Island, South Carolina. It was a great experience to spend time with women from all over the country. We had a joyous, relaxing and educational time. The Sistah Summit is held every year. I hope to attend in 2009. For more information visit the website, www.sistahsummit.com

Also, thank you to the Kenwood Academy Graphic Design I Class and their instructor Mr. Turtel Onli. The students have designed potential logos for my company Hot Flash Sauces, Inc. Please take a look at their wondeful, exciting, innovative designs: Page 1, Page 2, and Page 3.

Reminder! If you are interested in submitting an essay or art work to Sol Sustah Stories please email me at at sustah-girl@sustah-girl.com.

Sustahs have a fantastic month!
